Weekend

This has been one heck of a weekend for us.
While Greg worked on a major project at home (still not finished because there was a major hiccup), Hannah and I were off to work on a major project ourselves.
When Hannah got her drivers licence, she got her motorcycle licence as well. I've had mine for a few years and in 07 took a basic motorcycle class at our local Harley dealership.
I tried to "practice" a few times, but then just kind of stopped.
Hannah has really been interested in learning how to ride, so the both of us signed up at the dealership and took the class together.
We were there this Friday from 3:00 until 9:00 and then Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 until 5:00.
We learned a lot, had a lot of fun, but it was also quite exhausting to be on the motorcycle all day yesterday and today. So much to think about, pay attention to and information to retain.
Saturday evening we took the written test, passed and then today after another day riding took the driving test and passed!!
We were thrilled!!
Now we just need to keep practicing at home to keep it up and get better!

Oh and if you're wondering if all went well, the picture below is proof that it didn't. The bikes we used were Harley street 500's and I kept banging my (snow white) shins into the foot rests. Gotta love the line of where my socks were as well... ;-)

Ouch for your legs, do you have any witch hazel to rub on the bruises? It helps.

    1. Thank you Dianna. Greg got a lot done, but sadly wasn't able to finish the project. :-( As I said, major hiccup... I'll talk about it more once it's done.

  9. Congrats! I love that Hannah got hers as well. While I am a big chicken my daughter wants her motorcycle license so bad. Sadly they drive very poorly up here in RI and we have convinced her to wait till we move further south in the next couple of years.

    1. If she does get her licence, she should definitely check into taking a class like this. We learned so much, especially the fact that we need lots and lots more practice. ;-)
