Weekend

How does this happen, how do weekends go by so fast?
It was such a good weekend, I enjoyed every single minute of it!
We had originally planned on going to the "Kriskringle candlelight Christmas" at Burritt on the Mountain as a family on Friday, but that didn't happen due to rain.
The girls had friends here, so we just stayed home, hung out, made popcorn and played cards.
Saturday morning I went to two craft shows with friends and was able to pick up a few handmade goodies.
In the afternoon both girls left to go babysitting and Greg and I decided to brave the mall to window shop a bit and then we headed to Burritt alone. (The girls never really wanted to go to begin with, so they were not mad about this.) We met up with friends later on and really enjoyed a date night!
On Sunday Hannah went to play tennis with a friend (getting some practice in before the team starts practicing together next month) and I took Nadia Christmas shopping in the afternoon. It was some really nice "one on one time" with her!
After dropping her off for yet another babysitting job, I went home and with Hannah's and her friends help got started on my little gift for "my kiddos" at school.
A fun, relaxing weekend over all...

  1. Weekends do go by too fast Anke. Your weekend sounds so nice and how fun to have a date night. When all my babies were home we use to plan outings so there was some one on one time, time to just
talk and hear what is in their hearts, it's important.
Enjoy a beautiful and gentle start to your week.

  5. My husband says the same thing every week - "why oh why do the weekends go by so fast?'. Sounds like you and your family had a great one, despite it passing by quickly!
