Swimming...

I don't know if anybody is having a "lazy" summer, but we're definitely not. We get up early four times a week so Hannah and Nadia can go to swimming lessons. (So far no complaints about the getting up early part...)
Both girls know how to swim but Hannah will be on the swim team in high school, and we were told to make sure she gets lots of practice during the summer. Since this is the first time on a swim team for her, we decided to sign her up for lessons. And since we're (by that I mean "me") already taking her, we thought we might as well sign Nadia up, too. No such thing as being "too good of a swimmer"...
Both girls started out as "level 4" and today they were evaluated to see if they could pass to level 5. I'm happy to say, next week they will be in level 5 lessons. :-)

After passing the tests, they were able to just play for a while - which they obviously enjoyed. :-)

  1. way to go girls! I agree, no such thing as being too good of a swimmer, maybe Nadia might like to be on swim team when she gets in high school.

    1. Lois, they are both really enjoying this swim class. Not once have they complained about getting up early and going there. Now the gym afterward is another story... ;-)

  2. Wait, they look as if they're having too much fun. You know how those Level 5 girls can get!
Enjoy your Summer. But if I were you, I'd stick to the shade while they practice.

    1. I know just what you mean about those level 5 girls... ;-)
Staying in the shade would be the smart thing to do, but instead I go running/walking 2.5 miles while they swim. That half marathon is coming up in September and I don't intend to crawl across the finish line.

  3. Here too, swimming lessons all year long LOL, I never seem to have any "down" time. Loch wants to be on swim team someday so Finn gets signed up too since he'd just be there with me anyways hahaha! They got their Level 5's today (but maybe not the same scale) and we are done, um.... until the next session starts in 2 weeks LOL Good way to stay cool though!

    1. Erin, that's exactly why we signed Nadia up. If I'm taking one, I might as well take both of them. :-)

    1. I hope Hannah will like it, too. She'll have practice four times a week and then they have swim-meets. It'll definitely be time consuming, so I hope she'll enjoy it.
