A quick sewing project

The other day I was browsing on "pinterest" (so easy to loose track of time there) and found several ideas on how to turn t-shirts into skirts. They were all so easy, I was really wondering why I'd never thought of doing that myself.
First step, go to a thrift store and find a large t-shirt. This one was an extra large and set me back a whole dollar. Wash and dry the shirt.
Step two, draw a line from one arm to the other and cut on the line.
I had some 1 inch elastic on hand, so I just ironed down the edge, sewed it and pulled the elastic in. The skirt it done!
I gussied up the skirt a bit - which was done kind of out of necessity. You see, there was a tiny little (bleach?) stain on the front of the shirt that I didn't notice until I got home. I think it turned out alright though...
 What do you think?
Was haltet ihr davon?

    1. Suz, you should definitely show her - just make sure to hide all the "good" shirts you don't want cut up. ;-)

    1. You're welcome Lynda. :-) I'm on the lookout for more large shirts now. I think it would be fun to have a whole bunch of them. Especially if I can get all the shirts for $ 1.-
