Grateful

Even when things don't go the way you want them to go (like when your air conditioning breaks and it's in the 90's), there's always something to be thankful for.
Since it won't matter today if we stay inside or outside (about the same temperature), I'll just stay outside and look at all the pretty things growing in the garden.

  2. Your garden is lovely!! You are a bit ahead of us with what is blooming now. Have you been swimming yet? Might need to jump in the pool to stay cool!!

    1. Bev, the girls have been swimming a lot but I haven't been in yet. If the air conditioning won't get fixed soon, I'll be taking my first dip though... :-)

  4. Such beautiful blooms-tough enough to take the heat and still look "delicate".
    Stay cool!

  6. I can't imagine living in your heat without air conditioning. Praying that is soon remedied for you so you can stay cool.

    1. Dianna, the repair guy was here earlier and recommended a whole new unit. :-( Now to wait for an estimate...

  7. I feel for you! We replaced two units here with the super duper kind, both a/c and heat together, one for my daughter up the hill then three years later ours. Hopefully you will have yours fixed in no time as it keeps getting hotter! At least you have a pool, something my daughter is begging for right now!
    Take Care,

    1. Ulrike, our system is probably around 15 years old and now we're faced with sinking money into it or replacing it. Neither one is something we want to do, but we don't really have a choice. Yes, the girls have been spending lots of time in the pool and I think I'm going to join them today...

  8. Oh no! Well, at least it's better than in August I guess when it's hot AND the HVAC guys are too busy to come LOL! Stay cool!

    1. Erin, it's about to get ugly. The one company yesterday told us the entire system needs replaced ($$$$$) so we have somebody else coming over for a second opinion. It needs fixed one way or the other though because we are expecting temps in the high 90's this weekend.
