Motorcycle show

About a week ago, a friend of Greg's won some tickets to the motorcycle show here in Huntsville. Since he had no interest in going, he asked if Greg wanted the tickets. Never having been, we decided to take the girls and check it out. The tickets would have been $15 per adult and lets just say we would have been upset if we would have paid to get in. There were campers on display, some clothing, patches for bikers, a tattoo parlor and some bikes. That was it! The next two bikes were part of a display where you could vote for the best bike. We thought they were pretty cool, but we didn't vote.
Outside of the exhibit there were several guys doing stunts on motorcycles. Some of the stuff they did on those bikes was just unbelievable! Very impressive, but also very loud. We actually only watched the guys practice and didn't stay for the real competition. All in all we're glad we went, but we won't go again.

  1. I find these shows interesting, just to see what they are like, but I think in order to fully appreciate them one has to be a fanatic. I'm afraid of riding a motorcyle. My roommate in California always wanted me to ride with him and I did, but I prayed the whole time and always sighed a sigh of relief when it was over - I know, quaawk, quaawk(that's me sounding like a chicken)
Have a great day, Anke :-)

  4. So I'm taking it that motorcycle shows aren't your favorite things? LOL We went to one a couple of summers ago that sounds alot like this. Lord have mercy, I couldn't wait to get out of there. They had tattoo contests, etc. Not my cup of tea.

  5. I've never been to a motorcycle show, Anke, but thanks for the input, because I think I'm like you...glad that you had opportunity to go on someone else's tickets.

  6. It's good that you didn't have to pay for it! I have gone to some shows and later regretted it. At least the outside show was worth while!!
